Barcelona - Possibly Spain's most cultural and exciting city, it boasts the famous Sagrada Familia cathedral designed by Gaudi, as well as the amazingly long Las Ramblas for shopping, eating and drinking .

Costa del Sol - The warm climate draws people here all year round and if you aren't resident in Spain, it's close enough to Gibraltar to have a legally binding marriage there and the reception in Spain itself.

Madrid - A capital city full of intricate buildings, wide boulevards and plenty of pretty squares for the most picturesque wedding photos.

Malaga - This city is known for its airport but it has so much more to offer. With historic remains and hidden villages nestled between the mountains and the sea. A beautiful wedding location.

Customs

Catalan Wedding

Orange blossoms are used to decorate Spanish weddings as the orange tree bears fruit and blossoms at the same time each year its flowers are said to represent happiness and fulfilment.

Before exchanging their vows in a Spanish church the groom gives his bride a gift of 13 coins. This gift is a promise of his commitment to her. The bride then carries the coins in a little bag to the wedding ceremony.

According to Spanish custom brides would wear black silk wedding dresses with a black lace veil. The groom would wear an embroidered shirt hand made by his bride.

After the ceremony guests dance the 'sequidillas manchegas' and present gifts to the newlyweds.
