Honeymoon Destinations - Thailand
Known as the "Land of Smiles", Thailand is one of the most hospitable and spiritual countries in the world. It is a popular destination for honeymooners from all over the world because of its friendly people and stunning scenery.
The Islands

Krabi
- Koh Samui off the East coast is relatively westernised and popular with families rather than travellers. It is the biggest island off the East coast and probably the most upmarket, with classy restaurants and hotels. The nightlife here is family-friendly.
- Koh Phangan - a lively island surrounded by beautiful white-sand beaches and clear seas. Ko Phangan is very much a fun, party island - the Full Moon party which attracts up to 30,000 people a year is held on the Haad Rin beach here every month.
- Koh Tao - popular with travellers, this island has some of the best scuba diving reefs in the world. Accommodation and dining here are relatively high-end.
- Koh Phi Phi - this island was destroyed in the 2004 Tsunami and is still being redeveloped so the accommodation and facilities on this island are quite basic. This island has lots of activities to offer and film fans can catch a boat to the secluded island where Leonardo DiCaprio's The Beach was filmed.

Mainland

Na Muang
- Krabi on the West coast is a quiet location and boasts perfect beaches. The calm waters are a relaxing getaway from the bustle of the cities and ideal for couples who want to relax.
- Bangkok, the Thai Capital, is an interesting place to visit but is densely populated and highly polluted. Certainly not a romantic place!
- Chiang Mai is a city in the north of Thailand and is not as intense or overcrowded. Wild flowers grow abundantly in the region and it has lots of national parks full of wildlife and historic monuments.

- Go elephant riding at Na Muang on Koh Samui.
- Visit the old Buddhist temples and momuments on the islands.
- Go on a boat ride around the secluded islands and spot elephants, deer and snakes.

Accommodation

Koh Phi Phi
You will find various options available for accommodation in Thailand. From upmarket, five star hotels in the cities to fairly cheap food and lodging facilities on the mainland and islands, there are places for every budget. Thailand has the facilities to provide a luxurious and relaxed honeymoon in a high-end resort or a low-budget, fun-packed honeymoon. This makes travelling anywhere in Thailand a comfortable and relaxing affair.
The best time to honeymoon in Thailand is between November and February because rainfall is lighter and it is cooler than in the summer months.
